Jacky spent two years living in the Maasai Mara Game reserve in Kenya, where she first started taking photographs of the abundant and diverse wildlife on her doorstep. During this time she developed a keen interest in culture and conservation. This led her to completing a Bachelor degree in community, culture and environment. Graduating with distinction, her preferred subjects were climate change and indigenous studies. Her studies broadened her knowledge of the complexities that exist in today’s society in its acceptance that climate change is a reality. This has motivated her to participate in the expedition to the Arctic.
Jacky's adventurous spirit has steered her into competitive yacht raceng, hot air ballooning and worldwide travel. Jacky is presently working at Mogo Zoo on the New South Wales South Coast.
