James is a landscape, nightscape, aurora and time-lapse photographer from Tasmania.

Originally a veterinarian, James has recently completed a Bachelors degree in Antarctic and Environmental Science, and is currently undertaking a Masters degree in Marine and Antarctic Science, focusing on monitoring the cumulative impacts of tourism.

Having travelled to Antarctica a couple of times, Elysium will provide his first experience of the Arctic.

He is also an experienced diver, finding solace in the underwater world from the chilly murky depths of English quarries, to the tropical crystal clear waters of Papua New Guinea.
