Background: Ashley loves being at sea, with over 130,000 miles as a skipper offshore under her belt. After graduating with a dual major with honours in Geography and Oceanography she became the first female boating officer in Antarctica with the British Antarctic Survey. After three years in the Southern Ocean, she joined expedition voyaging but continues to roam the globe. She has climbed Aconcagua in the Andes, Island Peak in the Himalayas, and summited Mount Kenya before sailing with her husband from Newfoundland to explore the west coast of Greenland.
