Kevin Kurtz

Ambassador

Kevin Kurtz holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and has spent the last 33 years working as an engineering consultant in risk management. Partnering with Fortune 1000 companies he has helped them identify their exposures from perils that include fire, flood, and cyclonic storms, and offer solutions to mitigate their risk. At the same time, he has worked part-time as a scuba diving instructor and divemaster, crewing boats on the Great Lakes and ushering in new generations of divers to appreciate the beauty of the underwater realm. He is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, a TDI Full Trimix Diver, and a Handicapped Scuba Association (HSA) Dive Instructor. Residing in Chicago, United States, with his wife and three cats, his love of the underwater wonders has taken him around the world diving fresh and saltwater, warm and cold climates.

His passion in life is being a voice for those who do not have a human one. Through photography of all creatures great and small, beautiful and scary, he inspires others to care about animals and what is happening to their worlds.
