Levente Rozsahegyi
Ambassador
Levente has been a water person since age 3 when he learnt to swim in India, spent a lot of time snorkelling as a teenager in Croatia and Italy. He became an Open Water Certified Diver with PADI in 1999, continued education to eventually become PADI Open Water Dive Instructor in 2012 in Dubai. Dubai being a travel hub and a great central point to reach islands like the Maldives, Mauritius, and of course the Red Sea, it was an obvious choice that dive travels became the must. He started taking photos with his dad’s analogue Canon camera on land back in 2001 that led to getting underwater disposable cameras, through small point and shoot cameras, then he acquired DSLR cameras and housings. Since 2005 Levente travelled to various parts of the world including but not limited to Indonesia, Australia, Fiji, Vanuatu, Palau, Tonga, Thailand, Red Sea, South Africa, Mauritius, Zanzibar, Caribbean Islands, and the US, taking photos under and above water, sharing his experiences and highlighting the issues with the environment we live in. Levente participated in various international competitions, won a number of them with his underwater photos. When it comes to the question of mountains or beaches, the result is given, so he is not only diving but is a solid kitesurfer that also took him to different parts of the world. Sadly recent years a lot of issues emerged even at the surface when during kitesurfing he discovered dying turtles, rays, and other species near the shorelines. Some of these animals were rescued, however, some of them just had to give up. We are on the last critical path to save our beautiful planet or just let go.
