Roberto Saint-Malo

Roberto has sourced, executed, and managed PE and VC investments since 1995. During this time he has closely supported 30 ventures in different parts of the world and sectors, whilst providing consistently excellent financial returns. These include: Energía Global (Renewable Energy / Costa Rica) eDreams (Internet / Spain), Corephotonics (Opto-electronics / Israel), Lexington Medical (Med Tech / US), The Jackfruit Company (Food Innovation / US).

In 2011 Roberto founded VC firm BetaAngels, which presently supports a thriving portfolio of 15 investments on both sides of the Atlantic. Prior to BetaAngels, between 2002 and 2010, Roberto founded and led Spain VC firm Adara Ventures. Passionate about environmental conservation, Roberto is a Mamoní Valley Preserve board member. Earlier in his career, Roberto worked with McKinsey & Co. from where he was recruited as CEO of food retailer Jumbo Comercial SA. At Jumbo, Roberto led a successful commercial repositioning and eventual exit to Auchan. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College (BA Computer Science with Summa Cum Laude honors) and Harvard University (MBA + partial MArch). A former Global Leader for Tomorrow designee by the World Economic Forum, Roberto is a citizen of Panama and Spain and has traveled in over 100 countries.
