Stan Rowland is Chief Executive Officer of the Blue Climate Initiative, a global collaboration to protect the ocean and use its remarkable power to help mitigate climate change.  He also serves as Chairman and President of Tetiaroa Society, an NGO that manages a research station and engages in conservation and education programs on the island of Tetiaroa in French Polynesia, and is a member of the Advisory Board of Island Conservation.

Stan also serves as an advisor and general counsel to Pacific Beachcomber in Tahiti which among other assets owns and operates the The Brando – a remarkable resort on Tetiaroa which has established new standards in sustainability with deep sea water air conditioning, carbon-neutral operations, and innovative environmental programs.
